Bespoke joinery in Greater Manchester

We survey, build and fit made-to-measure timber joinery throughout Greater Manchester — a county of dense Victorian terraces, mill conversions and large interwar council-built estates.

What we make for Greater Manchester homes

Greater Manchester is a county of dense Victorian terraces, mill conversions and large interwar council-built estates, and that is the reason we survey before quoting rather than after: a wardrobe drawn to a catalogue size will not sit flush against a wall that leans, and a kitchen run set out from a plan rather than a measurement will run out of millimetres by the last cabinet. Every job we take on in Greater Manchester starts with a laser survey of the actual opening, a set of setting-out drawings you sign off, and a fixed written price that does not move once the timber is ordered.

Straight answers

Joinery in Greater Manchester — common questions

Can you match existing joinery in the house?

Yes. We take a profile of the existing skirting, architrave or door and either match it from stock cutters or have a cutter ground so the new work runs identically. Matching an old paint colour is straightforward; matching aged oak takes a sample panel and a couple of attempts, which we build into the programme.

Do I need to empty the room before you fit?

Clear the working wall and anything fragile. We bring dust sheets and a vacuum-extracted saw, but fitting makes dust and we would rather your furniture was out of the way. For kitchens we will agree a sequence with you so you keep a sink and a kettle for as long as possible.

What guarantee do you give?

Ten years on workmanship. Hardware carries the manufacturer's warranty, which on good runners and hinges is usually lifetime. Finishes are guaranteed for five years against flaking or delamination in normal domestic use.

Do you work with architects and builders?

Regularly. We can work to your drawings and specification, price from a schedule, and co-ordinate with the main contractor's programme. We are equally happy dealing directly with a homeowner from a rough sketch.

How do I pay, and when?

A deposit at order to cover materials, a stage payment when the work leaves the workshop, and the balance on completion after you have inspected the fit. Everything is written into the quotation before you commit.
