Media Walls & TV Units in Staffordshire

Cable routes, ventilation and a screen that sits flush — planned before we cut.

Staffordshire is a county of potteries terraced housing, brick farmhouses and large post-war estates. That is exactly the kind of building stock a media wall has to be drawn around, so we allow for it at survey stage rather than on fitting day — walls get checked for wind and plumb, floors for level, and the setting-out is taken from the worst reading, not the best.

How we approach it

Off-the-shelf units are made to standard sizes and then filled out with scribe strips. Our media wall work is cut to the dimensions taken from your Staffordshire property, so there is no packing, no filler and no gap that opens up in year two.

How we build it

Hardware is specified to the weight it is carrying, not to a price point. Soft-close runners are rated for the drawer load, hinges are adjustable in three planes, and sliding gear is sized so a full-height door still moves with one finger a decade later.

Finish and materials

Finishing happens in the workshop wherever possible. Sprayed paint gives an even film that brushwork cannot match, and the only work left on site is the final touch-in around scribes and fixings.

Straight answers

Media Walls & TV Units in Staffordshire — common questions

Can the TV be recessed flush into the wall?

Yes, into a rebated panel with a slim bracket. You need to know the exact screen model first, because the recess is cut to it — and it means a future replacement has to fit the same aperture.

Will the equipment overheat inside a cupboard?

Not if it is vented. We fit a ventilated back panel and, for heat-producing kit like an AV amplifier, a quiet thermostatic fan. A sealed cupboard is the main cause of early failure in home cinema equipment.

What about the soundbar?

Either a dedicated open shelf directly below the screen with acoustic clearance, or an acoustically transparent fabric panel if you want it hidden. Never a closed cupboard — you will lose most of the sound.

How long does a media wall take to fit?

Two to three days on site for the joinery. First fix electrics need to be done before we arrive, and any plastering or decoration after we leave.

How do I pay, and when?

A deposit at order to cover materials, a stage payment when the work leaves the workshop, and the balance on completion after you have inspected the fit. Everything is written into the quotation before you commit.
