How we build it
Moisture matters more than most people expect. Timber is conditioned before machining, and anything going into a kitchen, utility or bathroom is specified in materials that will not swell at the bottom edge. That is why the base of a well-made unit still closes cleanly after five winters.
Finish and materials
You can have it primed for your own decorator, sprayed in any RAL or heritage colour, or left in oiled timber. Oiled finishes can be refreshed at home; sprayed finishes are harder wearing and are what we recommend for kitchens and anything at knee height.

Can you fit an island in a dressing room?
If you have 1,000mm clear all the way round it, yes. An island of drawers is the best possible storage for folded knitwear and accessories, and the top doubles as a packing surface.
How do you handle shoes and bags?
Angled shoe shelves show the toe and hold more per metre than flat shelves. Bags need taller open cubbies rather than shelves, because stacking crushes them.
Do you supply the mirror?
Yes. A full-length mirror on a pivot or a wall-mounted panel with lighting to both sides rather than overhead — overhead light alone casts shadows down the face.
Open shelving or doors?
Open is faster to use and shows what you own, but it needs to stay tidy and everything gathers dust. A common compromise is open hanging with drawer banks and doored cupboards at the ends for the things you would rather not see.
How long does a bespoke job take from order to fitting?
Most fitted furniture runs four to eight weeks from approved drawings to fitting day. Kitchens, staircases and timber windows are longer at eight to fourteen weeks because the components are larger and the finishing schedule is longer. We give you a date band at quotation and confirm the fitting week once the drawings are signed off.
